Retirement Housing Foundation is pleased to welcome you to register for our 64th Management Conference and Anniversary Celebration
We are thrilled to welcome both returning attendees and newcomers to this year’s event!
To ensure our leadership can fully engage with the Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors, Advisory Commission, and RHF Charitable Foundation Board will meet on Monday and Tuesday. The Annual Meeting will take place from Wednesday, April 2nd to Friday, April 4th, at The Westin Long Beach, where an exciting lineup of activities is planned.
Our Chief Strategy Officer and VP of Philanthropy, Stephanie Titus, along with our VP of Affordable Housing Operations, Yuri Escandon, will kick off our gathering with inspiring remarks on Wednesday morning. They will lead our annual pin ceremony and present awards to honor our exceptional team members: Manager of the Year, Social Services Coordinator of the Year, Maintenance Person of the Year, and, for the first time, the Corporate Support Staff Person of the Year. This new award recognizes an individual who goes above and beyond in supporting our staff in the field.
Our morning will continue with a Worship Service at the hotel, honoring our roots as a faith-based organization. This special time will allow staff members to reflect on the beginnings of RHF and draw inspiration for the future.
This year’s Management Conference features innovative training sessions and breakout discussions, carefully curated by our Corporate Trainer, Karina Barragan, in partnership with LaVonne Mickelson, Director of Operations, and Yuri Escandon, VP of Affordable Housing Operations. These sessions are designed to provide fresh perspectives and valuable insights while bringing it back to the basics to empower you in your roles.
On Thursday morning, our President and CEO, Stuart Hartman, will address our dedicated field staff, setting the tone for a day filled with learning and inspiration. We are excited to culminate the week with the Anniversary Banquet on Friday night, where we will celebrate our remarkable award recipients, including Resident and Volunteer of the Year, and our distinguished Friend of the Elderly award.
And, back by popular demand—don’t miss the After Party! This festive event offers a chance to celebrate and connect with colleagues in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We hope this week leaves you feeling informed, uplifted, and rejuvenated. Thank you for being a vital part of our journey. We look forward to celebrating together!

Service Coordinators are often faced with requests from residents for accommodations and modifications needed for disabilities. Service Coordinators may also receive information from residents that demonstrate a concern as to the progression of a resident's condition that may leave them no longer able to live independent in the community. These are just a few of the issues Service Coordinators face that may invoke the need to assess and grant reasonable accommodations. Scott will discuss the obligation under various fair housing and disability laws to provide reasonable accommodations to residents. Scott will then provide practical tips tailored for Service Providers to identify and evaluate reasonable accommodations to ensure residents with disabilities are provided appropriate accommodations and RHF is able to comply with the spirit and letter of fair housing and disability laws.
